You do not have to start from a blank page. Roshi keeps four separate collections of material you can use today, and each one drops straight into a lesson you own.
The four collections
All four live under Collections as tabs across the top of the page.
Material is a library of single blocks: a reading, a dialogue, a set of questions, a matching exercise. Use it when you are already part-way through a lesson and need one more piece. See Add ready-made blocks to a lesson.
Lessons is a library of complete lessons. Use it when you want a whole class ready to teach. See Find a ready-made lesson.
Images is a shared picture library you can search and reuse. See Use the Image Library.
Flashcards is a set of curated vocabulary decks with pictures, ready to print or to save as your own. See Use the Flashcard Library.
Two of them are also reachable without leaving the lesson editor: Add segment here opens Add a block, which has a Block Library tab, and any image control opens the Image Library.
Everything you take becomes yours
Bringing something in from a collection always makes your own copy. You can rename it, rewrite it, level it up or down, and delete it, and nothing you do changes the original. That is why it is safe to grab a lesson and cut it in half.
The one exception is folders in My Library. Adding your own deck to a folder files it, it does not duplicate it. See Organize your content in My Library.
A ten minute first lesson
Open Collections > Lessons and find something close to your topic and level.
Make your copy, then open it in the editor.
Cut what you will not teach. Deleting is faster than writing.
Fix the level in one pass. See Adjust an existing lesson.
